If you are new to us, we would like to get to meet you and your dog before booking stays. During this session, you can tour our facility, learn about the routine, see where your dog would be staying and help us create a boarding plan that would work for your dog.

  BOARDING

​

  • Certified Professional Dog Trainers on site 24/7

  • Handler-accompanied off-leash hikes through 17-acres of fenced fields and play yards each day.

  • Medication administration, enrichment, and exercise outings included

  • Dogs who are reactive or aggressive towards people or other dogs are welcome

  • Hands-off housing available for those who cannot be handled by people with relationship building sessions available prior to your dogs stay

  • Trainers and handlers receive continuous education and training

  • Dogs with behavior concerns receive an individualized plan to ensure they’re comfortable and happy during their stay

  • Discounts for multiple dogs

  • Add-on training sessions available

  • We utilize positive reinforcement, which science tells us it is not only the most humane, but the most effective way to produce lasting results

  • We never use force, pain, or aversive tools or methods to modify behavior

  • No shock collars, prong/choke collars, or physical “corrections”

  • Every dog is treated as an individual, taking their preferences, ability level, and history into consideration to create a customized training plan

Shelter, Veterinarian or Rescue Training Day 

 

We offer a series of presentations and workshops for Shelters and/or rescues that would like to train their staff or volunteers to broaden their knowledge and make operations safer, more humane and effective.

The topics to discuss and work on are tailored to the needs of the Rescue/Shelter.

These are some of the topics that are available:
 

  1. Canine Body language and Behavior presentations (reactivity, fear, aggression and anxiety)

  2. Helping visitors with Shelter dogs for adoption

  3. Handling dogs safely

  4. Leashing/unleashing dogs

  5. How to handle a dog leash biting and/or redirecting onto you

  6. How to enter and exit kennels safely

  7. How to deescalate and separate a dog fight

  8. How to safely move dogs around the building

  9. How to harness a dog that is high arousal or Fearful

  10. How to build a relationship with reactive or fearful dogs in a kennel environment

  11. Resource guarding in kennel

  12. Medical Handling in kennel

  13. Behavior assessment for dogs to decide best fit for adoption

  14. Introduction to science based training

Initial Behavior Consultation

We will help you understand what is going on with your dog, create a plan to work through his or her issues and teach you how to help your dog as both of you navigate life together.

​

After the initial behavior consultation, we offer ongoing sessions in which we will keep helping troubleshoot issues and polishing your training skills.
